Assam Tea
The Assam region is located to the far North East of
India along the Burmese border. This is the land of the one-horned
rhino, the land through which the mighty river Brahmaputra winds its
majestic course. Assam is rich with nature's bounty and a rainfall
ranging from 200 to 300 cms - a bounty that ensures a very special
place for the teas grown here.
The Assam Region produces more tea than any other in India. Assam teas
are known for their strong, rich, full-bodied, pungent and sometimes
malty bright liquor flavor. They are particularly popular as a tea to
drink with breakfast in the morning.
